I’m a bit late to the party on this one, but this song is impossible not to wiggle a bit to! Also, I want to be in Justin Timberlake’s entourage. Happy Friday!

I am absolutely obsessed with this song right now… I can’t not listen to it when it comes on the radio and I constantly have it in the mix on my playlists. I first heard it when Bruno Mars was on SNL… I love the retro feel of the horns and the cool dance moves. Enjoy and happy Friday!
This song was featured several times on “The Voice”… it’s a very dark song with an absolutely haunting melody. The video is even darker – it makes my heart hurt to think this kind of hatred still exists in the world.
This week’s favorite song is called “Night That You’ll Never Forget”, by Love and Theft. This song is just really catchy. I love the lyrics and it’s a fun little song about just hanging out and having a good time. Happy Friday!
In honor of the newest Blankenheim! 🙂 Happy Friday!
I dare you to watch this and not be in a good mood! 🙂
“Jingle Bells” you ask!? Yes. Only because it’s Frank Sinatra singing it. I am in love with this man’s voice. He could sing the phone book and I’d be happy. I also really like the jazzy twist that he adds to the version. Enjoy and Happy Friday!
Well, it’s officially December, which means I can officially listen to Christmas music! It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Straight No Chaser “12 Days Of Christmas”. I know, not traditional, but this song never fails to make me laugh and get me into the Christmas spirit. Happy Friday!
Over the past year or so, I’ve begun to doubt Taylor Swift. Her music has become more and more pop, which is fine, but then it makes me mad when she wins country awards. Not to mention she’s not exactly amazing live.
My thoughts about her changed a little bit with her performance of “Red” on the Country Music Awards a couple of weeks ago. I’ve liked the song from the beginning with all of its great color references.
Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
But loving him was red
Loving him was red
This acoustic, harmonized version featuring Allison Krauss and Vince Gill is absolutely stunning and I can’t get enough of it! Happy Friday!
This week’s favorite song is “Royals” by Lorde. This song is almost always on the radio right now and I love it. That and Kati and I had a conversation about it in which we sang it in Chloe’s voice (which is high pitched and squeaky according to the two of us). Which was then followed by this adorable picture posted to my Facebook page along with the “Royals” lyrics. I just about died.
Enjoy and happy Friday!
